I m driving a car and I am on my way to meet up with two women and an older lady, a babushka, to have a "Swedish fika" outdoors with them (something small to eat and drink, kind of like a picnic). I know I met these ladies in my dream before I got in the car but I don't remember how I know them or where we met. So I dream that I drive my car and as usual in my dream I am not really good att controlling the car - maybe cause I don't have a drivers license in real life? As I am about to slow down and park I see the women by a tree. The two ladies are standing up but I don't really see their faces. I see the older women, the babushka though. she is sitting by a bare tree on a bench by a table and smiling at me and waving her hand, seemingly very happy to see me. I wave back at her and then I wake up. What makes this dream special is that I never get to see the faces of my dream characters in my dreams. I have no idea who she was - a made up dream character. I can still remember her face.
This dream is rich with symbolism and offers a glimpse into your current emotional state and personal experiences. Let's break it down:
Driving the Car: In dreams, driving often symbolizes your journey through life and how much control you feel you have over it. The fact that you mention not being good at controlling the car might indicate feelings of uncertainty or a lack of confidence in navigating certain areas of your life. This could reflect real-life situations where you may feel unprepared, whether in terms of relationships, career, or personal goals.
The Meeting: The act of driving to meet the two women and the babushka suggests a desire for connection or companionship. The setting of a "Swedish fika" – a pleasant social gathering accompanied by food and drink – indicates a need for nurturing and warmth in your life. The outdoor aspect hints at a desire for freedom or a more natural connection with others, reinforcing the idea of seeking comfort through social engagement.
The Women: The two ladies whose faces you do not see could represent aspects of yourself or your subconscious. They might symbolize parts of your identity that you're still trying to understand or connect with, or they could represent unknown opportunities or influences in your life. Their anonymity reflects a sense of mystery or unfamiliarity in certain relationships or situations.
The Babushka: Ah, the older woman sitting by the tree is particularly significant. Older figures in dreams often represent wisdom, guidance, or nurturing. The fact that you can see her face clearly, and that she is smiling and happy to see you, suggests that there is a source of comfort or support available to you, or perhaps a part of yourself that you are beginning to acknowledge and embrace. The image of her waving at you can symbolize encouragement; she may be a representation of guidance or warmth that is either present in your life or something you are yearning for.
The Bare Tree: Trees in dreams can symbolize growth, stability, and life cycles. A bare tree, however, could indicate a period of waiting or introspection, representing a transformation or a season in your life where things may feel sparse or uncertain before new growth begins. It may reflect feelings of vulnerability or a stage of potential growth that isn’t fully realized yet.
Not Remembering the Meeting: The fact that you don’t recall how you met the women might suggest that there are unexplored aspects of your life or relationships that you haven’t fully recognized yet. This might reflect feelings of disconnection or the need to forge deeper connections with others.
Emotional Resonance: The recurring element of not seeing faces in your dreams indicates a subconscious barrier or a disconnect you may be feeling in your waking life. The vivid memory of the babushka's face shows that there is something meaningful about this encounter, representing comfort or emotional support that you are not fully tapping into.
In conclusion, this dream seems to capture a journey of self-discovery, the quest for connection, and the need for nurturing influences in your life. It suggests that while you may feel uncertain about your direction, there are supportive relationships or inner strengths available to help guide you. Pay attention to what feelings arise when you reflect on this dream; they may provide insight into areas of your life where you seek growth and connection.
